Jacque was a delight to work with, a lovely sweet bride wanting a “hippy meets elegant” style to her wedding. The wedding was beautiful, and elegant with a Colorado wildflower feel, bursting with color.
The ceremony was set at the reflection pond at the Garden of the Gods Club with The Garden of the Gods as the backdrop; yes one of the most beautiful settings in Colorado! Clusters of sunflowers awaited the bride as she made her way down the aisle.
Jacque’s bouquet set the stage for her wedding. Loving sunflowers and gaillardias, we designed her flowers to include sunflowers, gerbera daisies, orange babe spray roses, delphinium, wildflowers with seasonal foliage’s and herbs. Her bridesmaids in shades of coral dress carried blue wildflower bouquets of light blue delphinium, tweedia and blue cornflowers with a touch of seasonal herbs and foliage. We had so much fun designing monochromatic, textural boutonnieres of blue delphinium blooms, thistle and blue Maine to coordinate with fabulous ties and handkerchiefs in a variety of colorful designs.
The table settings were a variety of vignettes of wood, glass, accordion birch and vintage bottles bursting in colors of yellow, orange, coral and blues.
We also had the privilege of working with Wendy, Jacque’s mother-in-law on the rehearsal dinner flowers. Coordinating with Wendy’s perfect selection of linens and table ware, we designed rustic wood boxes in vibrant oranges, reds, blues and yellows for their barbeque rehearsal dinner at “ The Trading Post” with the addition of flower pots of Colorado grown flowers, of course including gaillardias! -Catherine
